A new air ambulance repatriation service from the heart of Afghanistan
EMS Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation opens new office in Kabul, Afghanistan
As a repatriation company that operates all over the world, EMS Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation is used to crossing borders in the name of medical assistance. This year, however, we’ve taken our global service one step further: we’ve opened a new base in Kabul. Our experienced medical team recently secured a license to provide flights and emergency evacuations from Afghanistan to destinations across the world. We’ll be flying patients to hospitals, clinics and medical centres in the Gulf Region, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK, the United States – and beyond.
We’re delighted to announce that our Kabul office is open for business and ready to serve you!
Who can use the new EMS Air Ambulance & Medical Repatriation service?
The new Afghanistan service – which is based in the city centre of Kabul and operates from nearby Hamid Karzai International Airport – is for anyone who needs to get abroad quickly and safely for medical care, whether you’re an ex-pat who wants to return home or a local person looking for high-quality treatment in a foreign hospital. We offer fast, affordable repatriations for both emergency situations and planned medical treatment – with COVID transportations in full isolation if necessary.
EMS has a highly-trained team of doctors and paramedics on the ground in Afghanistan who are fluent in Farsi and English and know the local situation very well. They have road ambulances available at short notice to take you to the airport, with fast onward travel by private air ambulance or on a commercial flight with a Medical escort. Our Kabul office also works closely with our Gulf Region headquarters in Dubai, which is a central hub point for further medical services in surrounding countries like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Qatar and Bahrain. Whatever the security situation in Afghanistan, our team can carry out your medevac swiftly and safely.
With Visa-on-Arrival (VOA) for Afghan nationals…
Local patients and their families in Afghanistan are often concerned about the length of time it can take to organise a visa for foreign travel. The good news is that EMS can arrange an On-arrival visa (VOA) when you’re booked into our service. This means you’ll be able to travel almost immediately. You simply need your passport and travel documents. VOAs are a vital tool in emergency situations, because they allow us to minimise the delays in getting you to your destination for treatment.
…and long-term partnerships for international organisations
If your company or charity employs ex-pats in Afghanistan and you want to be able to get them home quickly if needed, we’re here to help. EMS can partner with you to offer an emergency hotline with medevac as part of your support package for employees. We have years of experience in doing this in Afghanistan, having worked closely with organisations like Germany’s federal police force. If you’d like to find out more, please get in touch and we’ll be very happy to arrange a meeting to discuss the options.
